Phobia.

I was actually scared to go to sleep last night.

I have arachnophobia, and just as I was going to bed, I was in my room grabbing a hairband, when I felt something slightly sharp pierce my right foot. I looked down in alarm and as I raised my foot in alarm, I saw a F**kING HUGE spider!

You think I'm exaggerating? I can assure you I'm not. It was about 3 inches in length, really hairy and not frail either, one of those really big, solid ones. I legged it down the stairs, yelling that a huge spider had just pierced my foot! I checked my foot, there was a mark, but I don't think it pierced through the skin thankfully. I wouldn't want to turn into SpiderWoman or some sh*t like that. My mum flushed the spider down the toilet - sorry if this causes offence to anyone, I don't like the thought of killing creatures either, but when it comes to spiders my first thoughts are "RUN THE F**K AWAY!" And "Get it out of my sight and away from me!" I closed the toilet seat lid so it couldn't come back up that way, and closed the bathroom door - though it could probably have crawled underneath. I went to bed and was looking around my room and down the hall like a madwoman.

Why the phobia you may ask? Well I was always a bit freaked out by them when I was a kid tbh. My dad used to tell me there were spiders on the wall behind my head, or when I went to bed he'd make running noises on the wall with his fingers. It freaked me out too when a friend told me on average we swallow up to 8 spiders a year in our sleep. Then one morning I woke up with a spider on my pillow RIGHT NEXT TO MY FACE.

Spiders are probably one of my biggest fears. The way they move, crawling with their 8 legs. I remember before in the kitchen my mum or dad captured a big one with long, spindly legs in a glass, and it was crawling up the sides of the glass, trying to find a way out. The way it moved made me scared. I know my fear is absolutely ridiculous. It's not like a spider that is like a tenth (or probably more) of my size is going to pull out a machine gun and say "Hasta la vista. Baby." Although, you can get tarantulas that are vemonous. I dearly hope I NEVER see a tarantula in real life. I think I'd actually pass out in fear.

It's not only spiders that scare me. Whenever a wasp or bee comes near me I scream a little, and many more insects frighten me. I only don't seem to mind ladybirds. This sounds bad, but it's probably because they're quite pretty. I know you shouldn't judge any species on how nice it looks, it's like Frankenstein's monster, he was so abhorred in appearance that people ran from him in terror, and he turned murderous. (Sorry, I'm doing English Literature :P). But it's true that we shouldn't judge on appearance. I mean, I might find ladybirds quite pretty, but if a load of them were crawling on me I'd scream my head off!

Anyway Piczoers, what are YOUR phobias?

But my biggest fear is water. I can't go swimming or anything, haven't done for about 6 years, I hate the sea and things like that.. and especially water slides! I'm just scared to death of water :/ Obviously showers and drinking are fine, but not water in great loads... I HATE IT!! x
